If you have a passion for prayer and would like to be part of helping equip others to pray, why not fundraise to help the ministry of World Prayer Centre by becoming a WPC Ambassador.

What's a WPC Ambassador?

ExhibitonA WPC Ambassador promotes and supports the work of WPC within the church and community.

What does it involve?

There are four key elements to being an ambassadors:

  1. Pray for WPC – Each ambassador will receive a copy of our monthly prayer shield to pray for our work.  This can be on your own or with a group.
  2. Promote WPC resources – We produce study guides, booklets, prayer resources, and use Facebook, twitter and the WPC website. As an ambassador, you will ensure that their local church leaders are aware of our resources and how they can be used to enable prayer. You will promote the use of the materials in small groups, church meetings and with church members.
  3. Actively fundraise for WPC - find out more below.
  4. Feedback on what works - what do we do that is good and how we can improve what we do.

Who can be a WPC Ambassador?

WPC Ambassador's need a good understanding of WPC and our call to promote and enable prayer.  They will share our passion to get more people praying for their neighbourhood, their community and the nation, and see people coming to Christ.

How can you fundraise?

Can you find some approaches that suit you and your community and schedule some fundraising activity for the next six months? Give us a call if you want some advice, but here's some ideas...

Woman with coffeeCoffee and prayer mornings – show our resources, use video, have coffee and pray. Ask for donations to aid our work.
Organise a treasure hunt – just a fun way to spend an evening (or afternoon), people have to go round the neighbourhood to get clues. Charge a treasure hunt entry fee.
Come dine with WPC – four to six friends take it in turns to cook for the others – charge (say) £5 per person per meal
Quiz night – very popular if well prepared and charge an entry fee with a percentage going to WPC.
A church bad taste day – everyone turns up to church with a bad taste item of clothing (an awful tie, scarf, hat – or just some of those clothes you have not worn for twenty years!). Each bad taste person puts £2 in a WPC pot.
Prayer breakfast – invite a WPC speaker to come and speak about prayer, and give a national perspective on what God is doing.
Promise auction – people donate their skills and talents (to cook a cake, paint a picture, rent their holiday home etc.)
Blessing cake tea – bake a blessing cake and invite all your friends round for blessing cake and a blessing prayer.
Sponsored event – a sponsored silence, abseil, run, shave, hop, wheelbarrow ride etc.
Games evening – play board games, eat cake and have fun.
